Danielle Groves was a Fellow in the 2017 New Leaders Council Orlando cohort and has served as the Finance Chair since 2018. She is currently Foundation Events Manager for Orlando Health Foundation and responsible for leading and organizing several fundraising events in support of Arnold Palmer Medical Center, The Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families and Orlando Health. Danielle is currently a part of the Emerging Leaders Program at Orlando Health, designed to cultivate team members interested in pursuing growth and development in their careers as a future leader within the organization. Danielle has a bachelor’s degree in Event Management and a minor in Hospitality Management from the Rosen School of Hospitality Management at University of Central Florida. During her time at UCF, she was involved in Campus Freethought Alliance and served as Treasurer in her junior year. Danielle also regularly volunteered her time to lead local volunteer projects, which is where she discovered her passion for serving her community. After graduation, Danielle began her career path in the nonprofit industry, working for organizations such as Hands On Orlando, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida and Camaraderie Foundation in various event management and development roles. She also served as the Professional Development Chair for Young Nonprofit Professionals Network Orlando for two years from 2013-2015. In the 2016 Election, she volunteered many hours with the Florida Democratic Party and as a poll worker on Election Day. She has always had a passion for many progressive political issues and wants to continue to be able to give back to her community.
