NLC Orlando wrapped its inaugural year in May. Our diverse class bonded over the opportunity to serve Orlando - many of us hadn’t fully realized the impact we could have, and now we have the connections, the support, and the inspiration to make things happen around here. What have we been up to since?
Fueled by excitement after an inspiring state conference at the iconic Biltmore in Miami, we assembled our executive board over the summer. The new board consists almost entirely of 2014 fellows; a majority of 2014’s fellows now make up the board. These alumni want to continue fostering the NLC’s momentum in Central Florida.
Amy Ritter continues as our fearless leader - our Chapter Director.
Juan Lopez brings his extensive community and political connections as alumni chair.
Brook Hines, Matthew Blood, and Sarah Elbadri are using their passion for education and unrivaled leadership experience as curriculum co-chairs.
Tricia D’Antin’s digital strategy background makes her the ideal communications / technology chair.
Chiquita Raines and Marc D’Antin will use their unique interpersonal skills as mentorship co-chairs.
Kelly Quintero and Joshua Walker have already used their natural ambition and drive to assemble a competitive set of applicants for 2015.
And Robyn Lorfink, Matt Alford, and Corey Douglas have applied their discerning wisdom to select our 2015 class. Thanks to the contributions thus far of these 2014 alumni, 2015’s fellows have an incredible year to look forward to.
